Setting Up Outlook 98
- In Outlook 98, pull down the Tools menu and select Accounts.
- A window will appear, listing the mail, news and directory service accounts you have already setup. Click the button marked Add. Select Mail to add a new mail account.
- In the Display Name box, enter in your full name. Click on Next to continue.
- Enter in your email address, then click Next
to continue:
- Your email address is username@mikka.net.au where username is
your Mikka Internet username.
- Your incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
- The incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server should be set to pop.mikka.net.au
- The outgoing mail (SMTP) server should be set to pop.mikka.net.au
- Click Next to continue.
- Your POP account name should be set to your username. Your username is
the first part of your email address. If your email address is username@mikka.net.au, then your username is username.
- Your Password is your Mikka Internet password. Click Next to
continue.
- Enter the Internet mail account name Mikka Mail
- Click Next to continue.
- Select I will establish my Internet connection manually. Click Next,
then Finish to continue.
- You will now return to the Accounts window.
Select the account you just created and click Properties.
- Click on the tab labelled Advanced. If you access your
e-mail from more than one location, or if you wish to keep a copy on the server, check the
box next to Leave a copy of messages on server.
- Click OK and then click Close.
Outlook 98 is now setup.
